i just wanted to say thank you for this information...i was on the "shot" for about 2 and a half or 3 years. I gained a total of 75 pounds while on the shot and i am now trying to lose weight. I was never told of the side effects only that i would not have my period... Once on the shot i had noticed my body totally start to change. I thought it was because i had stoped cheerleading and it was catching up to me. With this new information I am going to speak to my physician and get some answers to questions i have. I just want to say thanx for sharing and it feels good to know that I was not just completly "losing it"
